Sims 4 Story : Hate That I Love You

He wakes up to the sound of his ringtone. With his fast reflex, he takes it and hopes it was Avril. But too bad it is from Lydia. He deletes that message even before he reads it. He lays back on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

Why am I still thinking of her?

His phone rings again. He lets out a long sigh.

What the hell do you want now Lydia?!

But then his eyes widen as he looks at the unknown number. He sits up on his bed and opens the message:
Chris, I'm sorry for ignoring you like that. To be honest, my name is Faith. It has been two months since I stayed away from dating because of a guy. And after so long of not talking to a guy, you made me think of him. I apologise again if this upsets you.



Normally he would ignore that kind of girl. But he hits the reply button:
It will take you a long time for you to get over him if you don't try. Anyway, Faith is a better and cute name! Knowing me through an online dating chat room doesn't mean we have to flirt with each other and date, right? Want to be my friend?
Faith agrees.

He feels like he is going soft on her. He isn't the kind of guy who would entertain a girl's business especially when it involves another guy. Something about Faith that he can't get his mind off her which makes him want her more.

Faitherine Swan

They have been messaging and calling each other ever since.
Chris will find time to get away from his duties in National Service(NS) to talk to Faith.
Faith keeps on using her phone in class and always got her phone confiscated by her teachers.
Amy has been watching Faith one morning in school.


Faith goes out to her locker to get some stuff ready for the next lesson. Amy saw her going out and follows her. She taps on Faith's shoulder.
"Faith, what is wrong with you? You weren’t like that before!" Amy says.
"What is wrong with me?" Faith seemed confused.
"Why do you always use your phone in class? Even when Ms Brennan confiscated it and gave you back, you use it again in the next class and got confiscated again!"
"He is just someone I knew from the online chat that day."


"You've fallen for him?" Amy asks.
"No, of course not." Faith says, feeling guilty.
"Okay then, let's go." Amy turns around and walks back to class.

During lunchtime, Faith tries her best not to use her phone much with Amy and Annie.
They are laughing and joking around until Amy saw Faith using her phone and said,
"Who's that guy huh Faith?"
Faith startles and looks up at Amy, "Oh, umm, his name is Christopher." Faith leans back and fakes a smile.
"Oooh, Christopher, cute name." Annie teases. "Do you have a photo of him?"
"No." Faith swallows her saliva and clears her throat. "Not that I want to either."


Annie stretches out her hand to Faith, "Let me see your conversation with him!"
Faith starts to be worried, "I've deleted his messages." She realises that Annie isn't buying that. "You all know what my parents are like."
Annie nods in agreement and says, "Oh well, bummer."

Amy sees Faith's eyes. She knows that something is wrong.


After school, they have their usual hugs and goodbye.
"Bye Faith, love you." Annie and Faith hugs. "Let's go, Amy."
"I'm going with Faith. Aunt Rosey asks me to pick up something at her place." Amy says.
"Oh, alrighty then! Love you guys!" Annie gives a flying kiss.


Amy lied. She didn't need to go to her aunt's house. She just needed to talk to Faith alone.
"Darl, did we upset you just now?"
"What? No. What for?" Faith says.
Amy looks her in the eye, "Stop lying, please?"
"Oh well, alright. You see, Ann seems disappointed if I were to be falling for Chris. I probably think that I might. After Zayn is gone, you, Ann and him are the ones bringing me happiness. Is it wrong Amy? Will Ann hate me?" Faith explains.


"We want you to be happy. If you're happy, why not? Go and give it a try! Have fun with him! But not too much! You know what I mean."
"Aww, Amy! You're such a great friend!" Faith gives Ann a hug.
"I'm glad you're happy. But be careful alright? Get to know him first before meeting him. Maybe you can ask for his photo or something."
"Will do!" Faith sounds excited.

He wants Faith. He can't forget about Faith. Faith is all he thinks about.

That's it! I don't care what she thinks. I want her answers now!

He takes out his phone and texts Faith:
Will you be mine?
He hits send button.

Chris, you are not serious, right?
Faith replies.

Chris then says:
Well, I am serious. I like you. You are different. You are all I think about. Will you?

Chris is waiting for her reply for a while until:
But I thought you would just want to be friends? I don't know you. I don't even know what you look like. I'm afraid you're not what you claim you were. I just want to be careful. ):

Be mine and I'll tell you everything you need to know. Promise.
Chris smiles at his reply to Faith.


There isn't any reply after that. He refuses to call. He doesn't want her to think that he is desperate. He waited. Maybe she didn’t like the idea of it. He only gets to know Faith in just a week but he feels like she might be the one.


After 2 hours of waiting, Chris got her reply:
I'm confused right now, Chris. I do not want to get hurt again. I'm still fragile. I like you too Chris. But if you really want to be with me, you'll have to understand the situation I am in right now. If you think that it's too much, I suggest that you do not reply. I'm sorry.

He replies:
Can I hear your voice? We can talk if you want. Tell me and share everything with me. No secrets. I might be able to help. Please?

While waiting, he changes his clothes before laying down on the bed.
Chris has never been that soft-hearted. Never in his life, had he tried to run after one girl. His feelings that he feels is new to him. Thinking about Faith always made him smile. Faith never stops running through his mind.

Faitherine Swan

She dials Chris' number.
"Faith?" Chris starts the conversation.
"Yeah?"
"Are you alright?"
"I guess . . ."
"Do you want to talk about it?" Chris says.
"Why are you so nice to me?" Faith wonders.
"You are fragile. I want to make sure that I'm here to save you when you fall. I promise you that."

Chris is healing her scars every second he talks. Faith tells Chris the whole story of what happened between Zayn and her. She even tells him that she still has hope for Zayn and that he will be back soon.


"You won't open your heart for someone else?" Chris asks.
Faith kept quiet for a moment.
"You mean, for you?"
"Yes, Faith. I am falling for you. Stop denying it, Faith. You do have feelings for me too right? If you don't, why did you even bother calling me now?"
"What do you want to hear Chris?!" She starts raising her voice. "Do you want to know my feelings for you? Do you want to know the answer to that question? Do you Chris? Do you?!"
"I didn't mean to make you mad. It's alright Faith. I don't need that answer." Chris hangs up.

Faith feels bad. She is not ready for any relationship yet. She regrets yelling at Chris.
She is under pressure. She doesn’t want to get hurt ever again.

Why didn't he use any vulgarities towards Faith? He just got screamed at but all he did was hung up.
Suddenly he receives a message from Faith:
Chris, I am terribly sorry. And yes, Chris. I do have feelings for you. If I were not in this state, I would have said yes way before you even ask. Can we work things out?

He calls Faith back,
"Be mine, and we will definitely work things out." Chris chuckles.
"You never fail to make me smile."

16 May 2007 at 2300 hours was the day when they were officially together.

She is smiling away the whole night.
She decides to call Amy.
"Amy! It's official! Chris and I are official!"
WHAT!" It sounded more like an angry tone but Faith is too happy to notice that.
"We are official!" Faith jumping for joy.


"You lied to me!" Annie exclaims.
"What?"
"You said you won't be falling for him? What's this?"
"Ann?" Faith stops jumping.
"Shocked? Well, you should!"
Annie hangs up.


Faith is stunned.
She is totally speechless.
Amy’s number appears on her phone. She hesitates but answers anyway.
"Faith, Faith? Amy's here." Amy says.
"Oh my god, Amy! What should I do now?" Faith is anxious.
"I'll try to talk to her. Don't worry. And congrats Faith! Hopefully, he's the one."
"Thanks, Amy. Please make her understand."
"I will Faith, not to worry."
"Love ya!"
"Love you too."
They hung up.
