Christopher Hamilton
I AM DONE!
Chris hits his phone hard on the floor. It breaks into pieces.
He goes up to his apartment rooftop and gazes at the night sky. He just wanted a girl. A girl who would love him for who he was and is. Lies hurt. But even when Chris tells the truth, he will end up hurting her and even himself. Maybe this is his life. Maybe he is meant to be the bad man.
He found his sim card in the broken pieces and uses it in his old phone. He retrieves his contact numbers and stares at Faith's name for a long time.
Was this love or infatuation? Or was it just because I’m lonely?
He sends a message to Faith:
You are really leaving me?
Faith replies:
Yes, Chris, I have to.
He then replied to her back:
Okay, I want you to do something.
1) Delete my number from your phone.
2) Delete all the messages that I sent you and the messages you sent me.
3) Delete your call logs.
4) Whatever you do, do not think about me.
I don't want to hear from you ever again!
It hurts. But Chris had to do that. He has to get over Faith. And by that, he has to be harsh on Faith.
Whatever, I'll get over her soon enough.
The next day is his off day from work. He decides to stay home. He looks through his contact list for some friends for company. But then he received a message from an unknown number:
Hey Chris, baby! <3
Chris replied:
Who the hell are you?
The unknown number replied:
You've deleted my number? How sad. Zahra here. ;)
Chris ignores her. She was the girl who told everyone that Chris was hers. Which wasn't and never will be.
Suddenly, she texts him again:
You there? Look at what I wrote on your profile page. ;)
Chris runs to his computer and checks his profile page. He can't log in to his account. He looks at his profile and saw that someone had hacked into his account. His status is in a relationship and there was a comment posted from Zahra.
Zahra Jackson
> Hey baby, I miss you. Don't you? Well, of course, you do, right? I can't wait to see you. Let’s go out and have fun! Love you.
There are some comments about that too!
Eric Mason
> You are with Zahra?!
Reme Walter
> You finally accepted Zahra?
Parker Peterson
> Congrats Chris!
Chris takes his phone and calls Zahra.
"Very mature Zahra! Give me back my account!" Chris yelled.
"Since I will never get you in real life. let other people think that I am with you." She chuckles.
"Damn it Zahra! You're insane!"
"Be with me and I'll give you back your account."
"Over my dead body!"
Chris hangs up the phone.
He isn't bothered about what people think. He knows the truth and that is enough. He is not active in social media life anyway.
He goes up to the living room and watches a movie. He hears Howard coming into the living room.
"Hey bro, you are official with Zahra huh?" Howard asks.
"NO. She hacked my account!" Chris is frustrated.
"Everyone is asking about it on your profile page."
"I know, I checked an hour ago."
"Can't believe a lot of people commented on it. It was like they were really shocked you even thought of dating her."
"How many is a lot? The last time I checked was three."
"Go and surprise yourself."
FORTY COMMENTS?!
Chris scrolls down to read all those comments. Zahra even agreed about the relationship. He isn't bothered about it until he sees a comment from Faith.
Faitherine Swan
> That was fast? I know you were too good to be true. Congrats Chris. And no worries, you are forgotten.
ARGH!
Chris screams and throws everything he touches.
Yvonne comes running up to his room. "What is this Chris?"
Chris throws himself on his bed. "I messed up big time mum!"
"Do you want to tell me about it?"
"Mum, you sounded like I'm a 9-year-old kid."
"You are still my baby no matter what. But yeah, I know you don't need me anymore."
She turns around to leave.
"Mum, wait!" Chris shouts.
"Yes?"
"How do you tell someone the truth when there is too much proof out there that I'm lying when I'm actually telling the truth?"
"Well, if you ask me, I would suggest that you just go ahead and tell them the truth. And it is up to them to believe it or not. You won't lose anything, Chris. They will realise it one day."
"Oh well, thanks, mum."
His mum made it sounds so easy. In the end, he'll be the one under all those lies and gossip. He takes out his phone and starts typing.
Hope this works.

I hate him, I HATE him, I HATE HIM!
She has no one to turn to. Harry and Zayn were gone. Annie and Amy too. Her family? She knows that they wouldn’t understand. She opens her laptop and deactivates her Friendster account.
I'm switching off from the world.
She clicks "Deactivate"
She sits on the Patio. She stares at the peaceful pool view from her house. With everything that is going on right now, this is the place that she needed to be.
"Daddy is home!" Francesca yells.
Usually, everyone would welcome him home. But Faith is in no mood for lovingness.
"What's wrong, sweetheart?" Her dad sits beside her. "You usually come down running to me and hug me whenever I'm home."
"Aww Dad, I'm sorry." Faith gives him a hug. "I'm alright dad, no worries okay?"
"The only time that you would sit here alone was when your favourite Uncle Kay passed away and when you flunked your exam last two years. And now you want me to think that you're alright?"
"I will tell you when I'm ready to tell someone about it. Right now, I just want to be alone."
"Well, alright then." Her Dad kisses her forehead and walks away.
Faith was on the verge to tell her Dad about it. But she feels that it is not the time. She, herself doesn't really know what she is feeling at that moment.
Marc (Mr Swan), goes up to his room to change and sees Zaily (Mrs Swan).
"Have you noticed Faith lately?" Marc asks Zaily.
"Not really, why?" Zaily asks, feeling confused. "She has been up in her room since she came back home from school yesterday."
"And you didn't even bother to check on her?"
"She's big enough, Marc. I'm sure it's nothing big. She probably is thinking about her studies."
"Hopefully."
Faith is thinking about Zayn. She still has those tiny feelings for Zayn. She hasn't heard from Zayn for almost three months now. Even Zayn’s Friendster was deactivated.
What is he doing now? I hope he's alright.
"Faith, Daddy is going to buy us pizza!" Francesca comes running to her. "Daddy wants you to call and order."
"Why don't you ask your brother instead?"
"I've asked him and he asked me to tell you to order actually." She puts the cordless phone beside Faith and runs away.
"Farrell, you lazy pig!" Faith screams.
Christopher Hamilton
He didn't notice how long he had been staring at the ceiling. He has been waiting for Faith's reply. He can't believe that she really did get over him that fast.
This is stupid!
He goes to his computer and creates a new account as "TheREAL ChrisHamilton"
He went to his old profile and spammed the comment box:
TheREALChrisHamilton
> This is the real Chris Hamilton. Zahrah is a psycho and I have never in my life thought of dating her! Let alone being his boyfriend! So, FUCK OFF BITCH!
Chris hits the submit button a lot of times and it spammed the whole comment section.
Zahrah will take ages to delete those!
Chris heads down to the kitchen.
"I'm here mum, what's cookin'?" Chris asks.
"Everyone has eaten except you. Go and take it yourself."
Chris is still waiting for Faith's reply. No matter how many times he said that he will forget about her, he still secretly wants her.
What difference does she have anyway? She's a girl, pretty, cute and all the things that all typical girls have. But why does Chris crave to hear her voice again? His phone suddenly rings. Without hesitation, Chris answers the call.
"Faith?" Chris asks.
"Hey man, you didn't save my number?" Eric says.
"Oh, it's you." Chris sighs. "What is it?"
"Do you want to go out at the local bar and have a drink or something? I know today has been a bad day for you."
"What do you mean?" Chris wonders whether Eric knew about Faith.
"Zahra? Your Friendster?"
"Oh, that. Yeah, okay. Be there in a few."
Faitherine Swan
"Coming!" Her dad runs down the stairs. He passes Faith the money for the pizza. Farrell appeared next to her and snatches it from her.
"I'm taking the larger portion!" Farrell teases.
"Very mature older brother!" Faith says.
Quality time with her family is the only thing that could take her mind off her problems. It might be temporary. But it is better than dwelling on it the whole day.
"Hey, let me take the camera. I want to capture this moment." Faith said.
Faith runs up to her room to take her camera. At the same time, she sees her phone blinking.
Her quality time lasted shorter than expected. She sees a long message sent by an unknown number. She opens that message and reads the first line:
If you've deleted my number, this is Chris. . .
She puts her phone down and stares down at the floor.
Why can't you just disappear Chris?!
She goes out of her room and shouted to her family from the 2nd story.
"I'm just going to stay in my room for a while. You guys don't stop okay? Continue without me."
Faith closes the door behind her and slides down to the floor.
She looked back to her phone and read Chris' message again:
If you've deleted my number, this is Chris. First, let me explain about Zahra. She's a psycho. Really. And it is up to you to believe it or not. I can't stop thinking about you. Is there a way for me to prove to you that I do have feelings for you? Honestly, I never felt this way before. I'm not the type to fall for a girl this much. But if it is really over, I would try my best to forget about you. I don't really need a reply. But if you can, please at least reply to me with a slight "Okay". That would be good for me.
She'll be lying to herself if she says she did not fall for Chris. But she is confused. Chris has a bad reputation. Faith is just afraid that she will be the next girl that Chris going to sleep with. She can't ignore Chris' message. She feels like replying to the whole truth of what she is feeling. But no, she needs to talk to Chris instead of a text message.
Christopher Hamilton
All that he can think about is Faith. He is not even interested in any of the girls at the bar.
He keeps telling himself that everything that is going on is really stupid. How can he even fall for a girl before even meeting her in real life? A second before he wants to order a drink, Faith's name pops out from his phone screen. He answers it without second thoughts.
"Faith?" Chris says.
"Chris?"
"I'm here, are you alright?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"Well, you are calling ME."
"Well yeah, um . . . Are you outside or something? I can hear many girls laughing."
"I'm going home now if you need to talk."
"No, no. It's - - -"
"Please don't hang up, please."
"Oh, okay."
"Hey man, I need to go."
"But we just arrive man!" Eric seems disappointed.
"I need to do something really important."
"Aww man, okay then. Take care."
Chris heads to his car and put on his earpiece so he could talk to her while driving.
"Faith, you still there?" Chris asked
"I'm important?"
"What? What kind of question is that?"
"You said to your friend that you have something important to do."
"Oh, that. Well, you are. Do you want to talk about it now?"
"Not when you are driving! I'll call you back later."
"NO!" Chris shouted. "I mean please, no? I'm afraid that you won't call me back."
"I will, I promise."
He drives as fast as he can. Ignoring the red traffic lights and stop signs.
I'm going to make things right!
As soon as he reaches home, he throws his car keys and heads to the shower.
He is still in the shower when his phone rings. He runs out, wet, with only his towel and answers the call.
"Hey, Faith!" Chris gasping.
"Are you busy? You're gasping."
"No, no. So what do you want to talk about?"
Chris is nervous. He's not sure of what's coming.
Faith takes a deep breath and said, "I've read your text."
"And?" Chris said.
"Who really is Zahra?"
He took a long time to explain to her about Zahra.
"So she is crazy for you? THAT crazy?"
"YES! Is that all you call me for?"
"What about you?" Faith started giggling. "How crazy are you?"
"My feelings for Zahra? NO WAY!"
"No, not her. Me."
There's the silence after Faith asked him that. He knows that she wanted to start joking around with him. Apparently, he likes it. He finds it cute.
"Crazier than Zahra."
"You are kidding me right?" Faith laughs.
"No." Chris hears Faith's laughter stops. "You really don't know who I really am. And if you do, you will think that the world is ending cause I started chasing for one and only girl."
"Who?" Faith asked.
"You."
Faitherine Swan
They haven't slept since they started talking. They spend the night talking to each other.
"Oh my god! It's almost 6am!" Faith exclaims.
"So what? Today is Sunday." Chris says.
"My mum is going to kill me when my phone bill arrives."
"Tell your mum, it's worth it."
"Oh really?"
"I'm not worth it?" Chris asks in a sad tone.
"I'm going to sleep now."
"Answer me . . ." Chris sounds like a sad little kid.
"Goodnight Chris." Faith laughs.
"Goodnight sweetie,” Chris says lovingly.
While she is tucked in bed, she receives a text message from Chris:
Sweetie, I'm glad that we are back together again. I promise I will never ever play with your feelings or even hurt you. I love you.
PS: I know I'm worth it. :D
Faith puts her phone aside and falls asleep with a huge smile on her face.
This day was the first time Faith woke up feeling so fresh. She looks at her phone and sees a message from Chris:
Reactivate your Friendster now.
She opens her laptop and once again on Friendster.
She receives a friend request from "TheREAL ChrisHamilton" and a relationship status notification.
She is officially Chris Hamilton's girlfriend.
"Breakfast is ready!" Her mum calls everyone for breakfast.
Faith takes a quick shower and off to the dining table.
Everyone is there except Farrell.
"Mum, where's Farrell?"
"In his room with his computer as usual."
When Farrell appears in the dining room, he stares at Faith and says, "I want to talk to you later."
"What about?" Faith was curious.
He does not answer her. She feels scared.
What is going on?
She finishes her waffles as fast as she can. She can feel the tension on the dining table that her brother is making. She runs up to her room. Farrell is looking at her with a face that obviously shows that he will get her later.
She thinks of all possible ways that could make her brother angry.
What is it, what is it, what is it?!
She keeps on mumbling that to herself the whole time.
Faith jumps at the sound of the knock.
"Open the door!" Farrell yells.
She slowly reaches the door. "Yes?"
Farrell pushes her aside and goes to her laptop. He opens her Friendster page and clicks on Chris's page.
"Who is this?" He asked.
Faith freezes. "He . . . is . . . umm . . . my friend."
"A friend that is in a relationship with you?"
Faith suddenly feels raged.
"Why do YOU care? And why are you such a busybody?!"
Farrell then clicks on Chris's picture.
"He has a tattoo that is why!"
Faith is quiet.
"I thought you were better than this. Can't believe that you are dating a loser. I want you to leave him, or he leaves you. Either way, you are not dating a guy like him!"
"Who the hell are you to tell me what to do? This is my life. And why are you being so stereotypic? What, you think you are that perfect? People like you are what girls should watch out for with you being so sweet with all the girls around you, acting all innocent! GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" Faith yells.
"You will regret one day, lil' sis. You will."
Faith is fumed. He has never cared about what goes on in her life. Why now?
She takes her phone and sees 4 missed calls from Chris. She then dials his number.
"Are you alright sweety?" Chris sounds worried.
"Something happened. I'll tell you later. I'm tired. I have homework to do."
"Alright, sweety. You can tell me whenever you feel better. Love you."
How can Faith let go of someone that sweet?!
"Love you too."

Gheez... Zhara is crazy. Thank God Faith believed Chris. It's hard when a guy used to be a womanizer and he still has a bunch of girls crazy for him. He's so sweet and I like them together. Sometimes you have a strong connection with people and you can't pull away from them... Even when stupid things come up to pull each other apart.
ReplyDeleteFaith's brother is really protective. I think he should mind his business. I understand that he's concerned but... It's her business, not his. And everyone talks about Chris' tattoos but... Tattoos don't mean a person is bad.
Faith's brother was being ridiculous. Chris isn't a criminal or some street thug. It's annoying when someone judges the other person based on physical appearance alone.
